I've been on the trot again... this time in England, visiting Oxford, London and good old Lincoln.
Here I am upon emerging from the rather fantastic Lucien Freud exhibition in the National Portrait Gallery. I just want to confirm that I am not, and do not envisage being, the owner of a smartphone, like the one that took this fancy pic and had it on Facebook quicker than I could exhale. Marvellous but slightly frightening implements.

Vintage Courrèges bag - Ebay
I've been living in the fabulous faux fur coat above (vintage C & A, of all places) for weeks now. I bargained it down to 15 quid - most certainly a price-per-wear ratio win. Also new in is this ruffled polyester lurid floral blouse - I cannot get enough.

Along with these gems I know I'll be wearing for a very long time, I was delighted to score this gorgeous vintage Courrèges bag on Ebay France. It's a great pity, however, that despite its perfect exterior, the inside is disintegrating into a synthetic dust that covered all of my stuff and made me cough every time I opened it. A worried Google search led me to discover that a lot of synthetic backings and linings are not standing the test of time, leaving a lot of vintage out there contaminated with what is apparently known in the business as 'devil's dust'. It's sadly the death knell for the now unlucky find, because it seems there is NOTHING you can do to stop it. Has this ever happened to you? Luckily, and this was quite a surprise for the notoriously pernickety selling community of Ebay France, the lady who had sold it to me gave me a refund straightaway. Poor little bag has been since abandoned, so if anyone has any useful tips on dealing with this hateful dust, I'd love to know.

Plum tights - Topshop sale
A recent scurry around Primark on Oxford Street for an umbrella also yielded this silk-look beauty. I'm quite impressed with the cut and print. I mean, it is pretty difficult to pass up on a dalmatian-print (in the most literal sense) top.

I've lots more news and delicious finds to show you, in the meantime, I'm still peeved about that lovely, but ultimately unusable, Courrèges bag. Looking forward to a blogging catch-up blitz this weekend.
